Holidays are suppose to be joyous events in peoples lives.  However, the truth of the matter is that some families are facing severe turmoils and trails. Some families are split between husband and wives, parents and children and even brother at odds with brother.  As Christians, we can experience family dis functions because of our relationship with Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 10: 34-39 Jesus says,"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.  For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law'; and 'a man's enemies will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me.  And he who loves son or daughters more than Me is not worthy of Me.  And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me, And he who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. 

Child of God do not compromise your relationship with the Lord for no one.  Put your relationship with the Lord before everyone and everything.  Sometimes people will walk away from you because of your relationship with God. But, we are not our own we belong to God.  When others see our relationship with Jesus and see us going after God. They will begin to seek the Lord on their own. And, I'm praying for your unsaved love ones to be saved, in Jesus' Name! Be encouraged...because you are never alone.  Don't allow the devil to cause you to focus on broken relationships but focus on Him who set you free from sin. Spread the Spirit of Life that you have with others who are hungry for change and new godly relationships. Your living is not in vain, you are an ornament in the crown of the Lord.  Let your light shine before all men so that they will glorify your Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ during this holiday season.
